Text Alignment

The alignment of a paragraph determines how its edges look.

  • Left-aligned - The text is aligned along the left margin.
  • Right-aligned - The text is aligned along the right margin.
  • Centered - Centered alignment is often used for titles.
  • Justified - This type of alignment is used in books and other print media. The spaces between words are stretched or compressed in order to align the text evenly between the left and right margins.

To align, center or justify text, select the paragraph you want to format and click one of the Align Left, Align Right, Center or Justify buttons.
