Smart OCR offers a very intuitive user interface that enables the conversion of scanned documents into editable file formats in just a few clicks.

Simply select the scanned document you wish to convert, click Recognize to allow the software to recognize and extract the text from the images and click Save. You can save the recognized document as Word DOC, Excel XLS, searchable PDF, TXT and more.

With this feature, you can easily automate repetitive steps. The Quick Tasks menu offers a convenient list of operations that are performed most regularly, such as converting a scanned PDF document into an editable Word file, or scanning a page to a searchable PDF. Simply select the option to enable the software to perform the necessary operation.

In the Image View you can see all the pages you have scanned. Smart OCR automatically detects the text, tables and image zones in the documents. You can also select these areas manually.

Here you can review the extracted text and, if necessary, apply corrections. Smart OCR features a built-in spell checker to allow you to instantly spot any errors in the document.

You can then save the document as Word DOC, searchable PDF, RTF, plain text TXT or HTML file.
